Does Tixel® hurt?

Most patients describe the sensation as mild warmth or a slight prickling feeling during the treatment. To ensure comfort, a topical numbing cream is often applied before the procedure. 

Most patients experience mild redness, swelling, or sensitivity similar to a sunburn for 1-3 days after treatment. In some cases, minor peeling or flaking may occur as the skin heals and renews. However, makeup can usually be applied after 24-48 hours, and most patients can return to their normal activities shortly after treatment. 

Results vary, but with proper skincare, the benefits of Tixel® treatments can last for several months. Periodic maintenance treatments may be recommended to prolong results. 

Common side effects include mild redness, swelling, and temporary crusting, which typically resolve within a week. 

Yes, Tixel® is safe for all skin types, including darker skin tones. Unlike some laser treatments that carry a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or burns on darker skin, Tixel® uses thermo-mechanical technology, which is gentler and reduces the risk of complications.
